Shah condemns Punjab drug trade, CM Mann rebuts

Punjab political figure Shah publicly denounced the state’s drug trade, alleging that the problem remains widespread and unchecked. In a swift reaction, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann defended his administration, rejecting Shah’s accusations and asserting that his government is taking decisive action against narcotics. Both leaders exchanged statements on the issue, highlighting the political sensitivity surrounding drug enforcement in the state. The exchange underscores ongoing tensions between opposition voices and the ruling party over law‑and‑order policies. No further details were provided beyond the mutual criticisms.
