SFI Launches School Education Campaign Across Jharkhand

The Students' Federation of India (SFI) has announced a statewide campaign aimed at enhancing the quality of school education in Jharkhand, focusing on teacher training, infrastructure development, and curriculum reforms.
On 15 October 2023, the Students' Federation of India (SFI) announced a comprehensive campaign to improve school education across Jharkhand. The initiative will target key areas such as teacher professional development, upgrading classroom facilities, and revising curricula to align with national standards.
SFI plans to collaborate with the Jharkhand State Education Department, local NGOs, and community groups to implement training workshops for teachers and to mobilise resources for infrastructural upgrades in under‑served schools. The campaign also intends to introduce digital learning tools and promote student participation in decision‑making.
The organization estimates that, over the next two years, the program will reach more than 500 schools in rural and urban districts, aiming to raise student performance and reduce dropout rates. SFI’s leadership has highlighted the importance of a coordinated effort between government bodies and civil society to achieve sustainable educational outcomes.
While the campaign is still in its early stages, stakeholders anticipate that the focused interventions will create a measurable improvement in learning environments and academic results across Jharkhand’s public schools.
