A cloud burst and subsequent landslide in Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh, left seven army soldiers, including Naik Aditya Kumar of Vaishali, missing.

A sudden cloud burst followed by a landslide struck the remote Dibang Valley in Arunachal Pradesh, cutting off a section of the army convoy stationed in the area. The natural disaster caused the ground to give way, trapping several personnel.
Seven soldiers from the Indian Army were reported missing after the incident, among them Naik Aditya Kumar, a resident of Vaishali district in Bihar. Their identities have been confirmed by the army’s public relations office.
Rescue teams from the Indian Army, the Arunachal Pradesh Disaster Management Force and local volunteers have been deployed to scour the affected zone. Heavy rain and rugged terrain have hampered search operations, and no bodies or survivors have been recovered so far.
Families of the missing, especially those from Vaishali, have gathered in their hometowns, expressing deep concern and awaiting any news. The army has assured that the search will continue until all missing personnel are accounted for.
The incident underscores the vulnerability of troops stationed in high‑altitude, disaster‑prone regions and has prompted calls for enhanced safety measures in such deployments.
