Preliminary reports suggest that one of the auto-rickshaws, designed to seat five people, was carrying as many as 15 passengers at the time of the collision. This gross overloading is believed to be a significant factor contributing to the severity of the accident.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and the injured were provided with immediate medical attention. Four individuals who sustained critical injuries have been referred to Narmadapuram for specialized treatment.
