Security Deployments Heightened Across Kashmir Ahead of Diwali Celebrations

Kashmir's law‑enforcement agencies have stepped up security measures in anticipation of the Diwali festival. Additional police personnel and army units have been deployed to major towns and border areas, and temporary checkpoints are being set up on key routes.
The heightened presence is intended to deter any untoward incidents and to reassure residents that the festive period will be safe. Local officials have urged citizens to cooperate with security checks and report any suspicious activity.
These steps come after a series of security alerts in the region over the past year, prompting a proactive approach to crowd management and public safety during the celebrations.
The administration has also announced that emergency response teams are on standby to handle any unforeseen situations, reinforcing the commitment to a trouble‑free Diwali.
Overall, the reinforced security posture reflects the government's focus on maintaining order while allowing people to observe the festival without fear.
