Education Times reports that many Indian states have announced a school holiday on 14 October, urging parents to verify local notices.
On Wednesday, 14 October, a school holiday has been declared in several Indian states. The Education Times has compiled a state‑wise schedule showing which schools will remain closed on that day.
State education departments issued separate circulars, resulting in differing dates and durations of the break across regions. Parents and students are therefore advised to check official school notices or state education portals for confirmation.
The holiday may affect local transport services, which could run on reduced timetables in affected areas. Authorities have asked schools to communicate any further changes promptly.
No specific reason for the holiday has been detailed in the available notices, and the Education Times will update the list as additional information emerges.
