The psychological thriller 'Gondhal', directed by Santosh Davakhar, was shown in exclusive preview sessions ahead of its theatrical launch, according to Koimoi.
Santosh Davakhar’s latest venture, the psychological thriller titled "Gondhal," has been screened for a select audience in advance of its official release. The exclusive previews, organized by the film’s promotional team, were reported by the entertainment portal Koimoi, which highlighted the film’s tense narrative and stylistic approach.
Industry insiders note that such pre‑release viewings are intended to generate word‑of‑mouth buzz and gauge audience reaction before the film hits cinemas nationwide. Early feedback, as per the Koimui report, points to strong performances and a tightly woven plot that keeps viewers on edge.
The screenings were limited to a handful of venues, though specific locations were not disclosed. The strategy aligns with a growing trend among Indian filmmakers to build anticipation through controlled releases, especially for genre films that rely on suspense and audience immersion.
"Gondhal" is slated for a wide theatrical rollout later this month, with distributors planning a coordinated marketing push across major Indian cities. The film’s upcoming release is expected to add to the current slate of psychological thrillers gaining traction in the Indian market.
