Police in Samastipur’s Vidyapatanagar area have detained the bride’s mother‑in‑law and father‑in‑law on murder charges after the newlywed Panno Devi was found dead, with authorities alleging the couple tried to destroy evidence by burning the body.
The incident took place in the Vidyapatanagar police station area of Samastipur district, where the body of 22‑year‑old Panno Devi was discovered. Police arrested her mother‑in‑law and father‑in‑law on charges of murder and evidence tampering, claiming the couple had set the body on fire to conceal the crime.
