Police say the president of the Sailors' Union, Raju Nanda, was murdered at Sangam Ghat in Mandla after a dispute on September 17, and two suspects were arrested within 24 hours.
Mandla, Madhya Pradesh – The president of the local Sailors' Union, Raju Nanda, was found dead at the Sangam Ghat on September 17 following a heated dispute, police reported.
According to the investigation, two individuals attacked Nanda with an iron rod shortly after the argument. The assault was swift, and the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Maharajpur police announced that they identified and apprehended the alleged perpetrators within a day of the incident. The suspects, identified as Nanda alias Nanda and Rajesh Bairagi, were taken into custody as the case continues to be examined.
Authorities have not disclosed further details about the motive or the ongoing legal proceedings, but confirmed that the investigation remains active.
