Sai Kishore criticises lower‑order's lack of application in Ranji opener vs Rajasthan

Tamil Nadu began their Ranji Trophy campaign against Rajasthan with a mixed performance, as the top order set a moderate total but the innings faltered in the later stages. The match, held as the season's opening fixture, saw the home side struggle to build momentum after the fall of early wickets.

Mid‑pace bowler Sai Kishore, who contributed with both ball and bat, drew attention to the lack of application from the lower‑order batsmen. He noted that the tail‑enders appeared hesitant and failed to rotate the strike, which limited the team's ability to post a competitive score.

Kishore's comments underscore a broader concern for Tamil Nadu's depth in batting, especially in a tournament where runs from the lower order can be decisive. Team management will likely review the batting approach of the lower order ahead of the next fixtures to ensure more intent and resilience.
