Sagar Police Seize Liquor Worth ₹2.61 Lakh, Recover Burnt Quarters and Excavator in Hirāpur

In a raid on a house in Hirāpur, Sagar, police and excise officials seized illegal liquor valued at ₹2.61 lakh. They also recovered burnt quarters and an excavator from the premises.
Police and excise department teams conducted a raid on a residential building in Hirāpur after receiving information about illegal liquor storage. During the operation, they confiscated approximately ₹2.61 lakh worth of illicit liquor.
Besides the liquor, officials discovered burnt quarters and recovered an excavator (poklane) from the site. The presence of burnt quarters suggests an attempt to destroy evidence.
The seizure is part of the administration’s intensified crackdown on illicit liquor following the recent Banda toxic liquor incident. Authorities have said that similar actions are being taken across the district to dismantle illegal liquor networks and seize associated equipment.
