RSS Magazine Calls on West Bengal BJP to Discard 'Garbage'

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) official magazine published a piece urging the West Bengal branch of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to purge elements it labelled as “garbage”. The editorial, cited by The Times of India, suggested that the party’s performance and messaging in the state have been compromised by these “garbage” elements, calling for a clean‑up to restore credibility. Party officials in West Bengal have not yet issued a public response, but the criticism adds pressure ahead of upcoming electoral contests in the state. The RSS, as the ideological parent of the BJP, periodically comments on the party’s state‑level strategies, and this latest remark underscores internal tensions within the alliance.
