₹1.31 Crore Goa Liquor Seized in Vijayapura; 4 Arrested

Vijayapura police have intercepted a truck carrying ₹1.31 crore worth of Goa liquor concealed under fertiliser bags. Four individuals have been apprehended in connection with the interstate smuggling operation.

In a significant bust, Vijayapura police have seized a large consignment of Goa liquor valued at ₹1.31 crore. The contraband was discovered ingeniously hidden beneath bags of fertiliser within a truck.

The operation, which targeted interstate liquor smuggling, resulted in the arrest of four individuals. Authorities estimate the total value of the seized liquor and the vehicle to be around ₹1.65 crore.

This seizure highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb illegal trade and smuggling activities across state borders.
