Rs 48,000 crore Assam Power Project Set to Become Northeast’s Largest Power Asset, Says Jeet Adani

The Assam government has approved a Rs 48,000 crore power project that will span the state and serve the broader northeast region. The massive undertaking is being positioned as the largest single power asset in the area.
Jeet Adani, speaking on behalf of the developers, confirmed that the project will surpass all existing facilities in terms of capacity and investment. He highlighted the strategic importance of securing reliable electricity for the region’s industrial and residential needs.
If completed as planned, the project is expected to significantly augment power availability, reduce dependence on external grids, and stimulate economic activity across the northeastern states.
