RPSC to Deploy Biometrics, Facial Recognition to Curb Exam Cheating

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission is preparing to use biometric verification, facial recognition and AI‑driven CCTV to monitor its recruitment exams and prevent dummy candidates and cheating.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has received a report recommending the introduction of advanced monitoring tools for its upcoming recruitment examinations. The commission plans to integrate biometric verification, facial recognition, and facial authentication systems to ensure that only genuine candidates appear for the tests.
In addition to biometric checks, the agency intends to install AI‑enabled CCTV cameras across exam centres. These cameras will analyse real‑time footage to detect any suspicious activity, such as the presence of unauthorized persons or attempts at impersonation.
The move comes as part of a broader effort to curb the use of dummy candidates and other forms of cheating that have plagued previous RPSC exams. Officials indicated that the technology rollout will be phased, beginning with pilot centres before a statewide implementation.
RPSC officials have not disclosed the exact timeline for full deployment, but they emphasized that the new measures will be in place for the next round of recruitment exams to uphold the integrity of the selection process.
