Mumbai police have remanded Rohan Parikh and his bodyguard to judicial custody until September 11 following their arrest from Jio World Plaza on allegations of fraud committed in the name of the Prime Minister’s Office. The case raises questions about a possible security lapse and unresolved aspects of Parikh’s story.

Rohan Parikh and his personal bodyguard were arrested by Mumbai police from Jio World Plaza in the city’s Bandra Kurla Complex area. After production before a magistrate, both were sent to police custody until September 11 for further investigation.

The arrest stems from allegations that Parikh fraudulently used the name of the Prime Minister’s Office to deceive individuals or entities. Police say the case also points to a possible breach in security protocols that allowed the suspect to operate under the PMO’s name.

Investigators are examining the extent of the alleged fraud, the role of the bodyguard, and any links to other persons. Several questions remain unanswered about how the scheme was carried out and whether any security lapse facilitated it.
