RGVP to Digitize Exam Marking: Answer Sheets Reviewed on Screen, Scores Auto-Recorded

The RGVP examination board has launched a pilot project to shift copy verification to a digital platform, where answer sheets will be scanned and examined on-screen with marks automatically recorded in the results database.
The Rashtriya Gramin Prashikshan Vibhag (RGVP) has initiated a pilot scheme to modernise its examination assessment process. Under the new system, answer sheets will be scanned, and examiners will review the copies on computer screens rather than using physical papers.
Marks awarded during the digital review will be entered directly into a centralized database, eliminating the need for manual transcription. This is expected to speed up result compilation and reduce transcription errors.
The pilot, launched this week, aims to evaluate the feasibility of scaling the digital workflow across all RGVP examinations. Officials say the move aligns with broader government initiatives to digitise education administration.
If successful, the board plans to roll out the system nationwide, offering candidates faster access to their results and improving overall transparency in the evaluation process.
