The Indian Meteorological Department has withdrawn the red alert for two districts in Telangana as Cyclone Murasu weakens, while new alerts are issued for Suryapet, Khammam and Bhadradri.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has lifted the red alert for two districts in Telangana as Cyclone Murasu moves away from the region. However, the department has issued red alerts for Suryapet, Khammam and Bhadradri districts, where the cyclone is expected to make landfall. Cyclone Murasu, which formed in the Bay of Bengal, has posed a significant threat to both coastal and inland areas of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Residents in the affected districts are advised to stay indoors, secure their properties and follow instructions from local authorities. The IMD will continue to monitor the cyclone’s movement and update advisories as necessary.
