YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia claims digital content creation now offers higher earnings than the film industry, noting that only about 30 Bollywood stars make real money.

Ranveer Allahbadia, a well‑known Indian YouTuber and entrepreneur, told Hindustan Times that creating content for digital platforms is now more lucrative than working in the traditional film business. He pointed out that the financial rewards available to successful creators often surpass those earned by most actors.

According to Allahbadia, only roughly thirty actors in Bollywood manage to secure substantial incomes, implying that the majority of film professionals struggle to earn what top digital creators can. This observation underscores a shift in where lucrative opportunities are emerging within the entertainment ecosystem.

The influencer highlighted several revenue streams that empower creators – brand collaborations, advertising revenue, subscription models and merchandise sales – which together can generate a steady and sometimes higher income than film contracts.

He advised aspiring talent to invest in skill development, consistency and audience engagement, suggesting that a focused digital strategy can be a more reliable path to financial stability than chasing uncertain film roles.
