Ramdevara Fair 642nd Edition Opens in Jaisalmer with Rituals and Official Ceremonies

On Sunday, the Ramdevara Dham in Jaisalmer witnessed the grand opening of the 642nd edition of the annual fair dedicated to the folk deity Baba Ramdevji. The ceremony began with the anointment of Panchamrit at the shrine by the deity’s lineage, symbolising purification and devotion. Following the ritual, District Collector Anupama Jorwal and Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shivhare draped a velvet cloth over the sanctum, a customary act of honouring the deity. The fair, which attracts thousands of devotees each year, continues to be a major cultural event in Rajasthan, reflecting the enduring faith in Baba Ramdevji.
