The upcoming film 'Ramayana Lead' is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, with industry hopes that it could surpass the ₹227.75 crore weekend record set in 2024.
The Hindi‑language feature titled "Ramayana Lead" is scheduled to hit theatres during the Diwali holidays of 2026, a period traditionally known for high cinema footfall in India.
Analysts are closely watching the film’s box‑office prospects, noting that the benchmark for a record‑breaking weekend was set at ₹227.75 crore in 2024.
If the movie manages to draw large audiences, it could rewrite the recent box‑office history and set a new standard for festive releases.
Industry observers point out that a strong Diwali performance often influences the financial outlook for the entire fiscal year, making the upcoming weekend a critical test for the film’s commercial viability.
The outcome will also provide a gauge for how future mythological or epic‑genre projects might be positioned during major holidays.
