Youngsters in Rajkot are attending Dev Garba Classes to learn fresh garba steps as the city gears up for Navratri celebrations.
Rajkot, Gujarat – As Navratri approaches, a group of local youngsters have enrolled in Dev Garba Classes to refine their dance repertoire. The sessions focus on teaching contemporary variations of traditional garba steps, enabling participants to perform confidently during the upcoming festivities.
The instructor-led program emphasizes rhythmic coordination, footwork precision, and group synchronization, catering to both beginners and those with prior experience. Participants practice in a community hall, where the ambience reflects the festive spirit of the season.
Organisers of Dev Garba Classes say the initiative aims to preserve cultural heritage while encouraging youth participation in regional celebrations. The classes are scheduled to continue through the Navratri period, culminating in public performances across the city.
