On day 16, Rajinikanth's "Jailer 2" broke the nine‑year‑old Kerala box‑office record held by "Baahubali 2" and is now aiming for an ₹80 crore total collection.
The Tamil superstar Rajinikanth's sequel "Jailer 2" recorded a notable box‑office surge on its 16th day of release, according to trade data. The film's earnings in Kerala have now overtaken the long‑standing record set by S.S. Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion", which had dominated the state's collections for nine years. This achievement makes "Jailer 2" the highest‑grossing single title in Kerala's recent history. Industry insiders say the momentum in the southern market positions the movie to cross the ₹80 crore nationwide gross mark, a milestone that would rank it among the year's biggest Indian releases.
