The Rajinikanth‑starrer 'Jailer 2' recorded a decline in earnings on its 20th day, with collections falling as the weekend approaches.
The Tamil action‑thriller "Jailer 2", starring Rajinikanth, entered its 20th day of theatrical run on Tuesday. According to a report by The Week, the film’s daily collections have dipped as the weekend approaches, a trend that has been observed in many releases.
While the film opened strongly, the momentum has slowed in the past week, with the weekend expected to bring a modest lift in footfall. Industry observers note that the decline is part of a normal post‑opening trajectory, especially for a star‑led film that has already earned a substantial share of its total run.
Despite the dip, "Jailer 2" remains a commercial success relative to its production budget and marketing spend. Rajinikanth’s star power continues to draw audiences, but competition from new releases and mixed word‑of‑mouth may be influencing the day‑to‑day earnings.
Box‑office analysts predict that the film will continue to perform steadily over the next few days, with the weekend potentially providing a small boost before the final stretch of its theatrical run.
