The Rajasthan government has approved a ₹12,500 crore programme to renovate and upgrade schools across the state.
State officials announced a massive school overhaul programme worth ₹12,500 crore, marking the largest education‑infrastructure investment in Rajasthan to date. The scheme is intended to modernise school facilities, improve learning environments and bring them in line with contemporary standards.
The overhaul will cover structural repairs, classroom upgrades, laboratory refurbishment and the introduction of digital learning tools where feasible. Authorities said the focus will be on both rural and urban schools to ensure equitable access to quality education.
Funding for the plan will be drawn from the state budget, with the expectation that the investment will be rolled out over the coming years. Officials anticipate that the upgraded infrastructure will boost student enrolment, reduce dropout rates and enhance overall academic performance in the state.
