Following recent showers, Rajasthan will see dry weather from Oct 21‑23 with temperatures falling to 14.2°C in Sikar, before a western disturbance triggers storm warnings for six districts on Oct 24.
The state of Rajasthan experienced scattered rain and hail in the past few days, leaving the atmosphere moist but short‑lived. Meteorological forecasts indicate that from 21 to 23 October the weather will turn dry across the region, with no significant precipitation expected.
The cooling effect of the recent showers was most evident in Sikar, where the minimum temperature dropped to 14.2°C, a notable dip for this time of year. Temperatures elsewhere in the state are expected to stay moderate, with daytime highs remaining comfortable.
From 24 October onward, a new western disturbance is projected to become active over north‑western India. The India Meteorological Department has therefore issued an alert for thunderstorm and rain in six districts of Rajasthan, urging residents to stay prepared for sudden gusts and localized downpours.
Authorities recommend that people in the affected districts keep an eye on weather updates, secure loose objects, and avoid travel on exposed roads during the expected convective activity.
Overall, the brief dry spell offers a respite after the recent rain, but the upcoming disturbance means that storm‑related precautions will be necessary in the latter part of the week.
