Rajasthan students launch Jan Alpha protests in nine districts for basic school facilities

Students in about nine districts of Rajasthan have taken to the streets under the Jan Alpha banner, pressing authorities to provide essential infrastructure in schools.
The Jan Alpha movement, which followed the earlier Jan G campaign, has now spread to roughly nine districts across Rajasthan. School‑going children have gathered on roads and in front of educational institutions, demanding that state authorities address the deteriorating condition of school infrastructure.
Protesters are calling for the provision of basic amenities such as functional classrooms, clean drinking water, adequate sanitation, and reliable electricity. They argue that the lack of these facilities hampers learning and poses health risks for students.
Local officials have acknowledged the grievances and said they will review the demands, while the students have pledged to continue peaceful demonstrations until tangible improvements are seen.
