Rajasthan Sees Rise in Cyber Fraud

Rajasthan has witnessed a surge in cyber fraud cases, with losses amounting to Rs 387 crore in six and a half months. The police have now introduced a zero FIR system for cases involving fraud of over Rs 1 lakh.

The state of Rajasthan has been grappling with a rising number of cyber fraud cases, resulting in significant financial losses. According to recent data, the total loss due to cyber fraud in the state has reached Rs 387 crore in just six and a half months. To tackle this issue, the Rajasthan police have introduced a zero FIR system for cases involving fraud of over Rs 1 lakh. This move is expected to help victims of cyber fraud report their cases more easily and quickly. Previously, the zero FIR system was only applicable to cases involving fraud of Rs 5 lakh or more.
