Rajasthan police raided a fraudulent call centre in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar, detaining 64 suspects who posed as bank officials to extract confidential data, and seized 88 mobiles and counterfeit documents.
In a coordinated operation, Rajasthan police entered a makeshift call centre located in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, and apprehended 64 individuals suspected of running a large‑scale fraud scheme. The raid was carried out after intelligence inputs indicated that the centre was using deceptive tactics to lure victims.
The arrested persons allegedly masqueraded as bank officials, contacting people and convincing them to share sensitive personal and financial details. By presenting forged identification and official‑looking documents, they were able to extract confidential information that could be used for further financial crimes.
During the sweep, investigators recovered 88 mobile phones along with a cache of fake identity cards and other fabricated documents. The seized equipment is expected to aid in tracing the network’s operations and identifying additional victims.
