Under ‘Operation Countdown’, Rajasthan police have detained 14 individuals accused of cyber fraud involving online blackmail, fake hotel bookings and promises of premium buffaloes.

According to officials, the fraudsters employed a range of tactics, including threatening individuals with the release of compromising material, offering to secure hotel reservations for a fee, and promising delivery of high‑quality buffaloes that never materialised. Victims reported losing varying sums after making payments online.
