Rajasthan Man Kills Wife with Pick‑Up Truck Over Cow‑Sale Dispute, Confesses to Police

A resident of Rajasthan told police that he deliberately drove a pick‑up truck over his wife following a heated argument over the sale of a cow. The incident occurred in a rural area of the state, where livestock remains a common source of livelihood.
According to the suspect, the disagreement escalated when his wife opposed the decision to sell the animal. In a moment of anger, he positioned the vehicle and forced it onto her, resulting in fatal injuries.
Police officials said the confession was recorded after the victim was taken to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead. An investigation has been launched, and the accused is being held for further questioning under sections of the Indian Penal Code relating to homicide.
The case underscores growing concerns about domestic violence and the need for swift legal action in rural communities.
