In Rajasthan's 147 municipal bodies, 57.38% of registered voters had cast their ballots by 3 p.m., with 50.28 lakh voters participating out of 87.36 lakh eligible.
The Rajasthan State Election Commission released the live polling figures for the 2026 local body elections on Tuesday. By 3 p.m., 57.38% of the 87,36,599 registered voters had exercised their franchise, translating to 50,28,768 ballots cast across 147 municipal bodies. The remaining 42.62% of voters were still expected to head to polling stations as the day progressed.
The figures reflect a moderate turnout compared to previous years, with some polling stations reporting slower voter movement. Election officials noted that logistical challenges and voter fatigue could be influencing the pace.
Observers from major political parties are monitoring the trend closely, as the results will shape the composition of local councils and could signal shifting political allegiances at the grassroots level.
