Rajasthan Launches Online Fertilizer Booking to Cut Queues and Middlemen

The Rajasthan government has introduced an online booking system for fertilizers, aiming to ease the burden of long queues and reduce reliance on middlemen. Farmers can place orders via a dedicated mobile application, after which a QR code is generated for the authorized vendor. The code allows the farmer to collect the fertilizer directly, ensuring timely delivery and cost savings.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to modernise agricultural supply chains and improve access to essential inputs for farmers across the state. Officials say the system will also provide real‑time tracking of orders and inventory levels at distribution points.

Early adopters report a smoother experience, with reduced waiting times and lower transaction costs. The government plans to expand the service to include other agricultural inputs in the near future.
