The Rajasthan High Court has requested a personal affidavit from the JDA secretary after discovering that around 200 families in Jaipur's Vinayak Residency have been deprived of road, sewage and street lighting for over twenty years.

The Rajasthan High Court has issued an order demanding a personal affidavit from the secretary of the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) concerning the long‑standing deprivation of basic amenities in Vinayak Residency, Jaipur.

The court’s notice comes after a review of the area revealed that roughly 200 families have been living without proper road access, sewage systems and street lighting for more than twenty years. The lack of these essential services has raised serious concerns about health, safety and quality of life for residents.

In its directive, the High Court asked the JDA secretary to submit a detailed affidavit explaining why these facilities have not been provided and what measures are being taken to rectify the situation. The affidavit is expected to shed light on the administrative lapses and outline a timeline for remedial action.

The JDA has been asked to cooperate fully with the court’s investigation, and the affidavit will likely influence any further legal or administrative steps to ensure that the affected families receive the infrastructure they are entitled to.
