Rajasthan Education Dept appoints 41 senior officials to monitor government schools

The state education department has named 41 senior officers as district overseers to inspect safety, infrastructure, enrollment and learning outcomes in government schools.
Jaipur, Sept 24 — The Rajasthan Education Department has announced the appointment of 41 senior officials who will be tasked with overseeing government schools across the state at the district level. The move aims to tighten supervision of school infrastructure, safety standards, student enrollment and the quality of learning.
Each appointed officer will conduct regular inspections, reviewing the condition of classrooms, availability of basic amenities, compliance with safety norms and the progress of students in core subjects. The officials are also directed to verify that enrollment records are accurate and that no child is left out of the education system.
To visually flag schools that fail to meet minimum standards, the department will place a red marker on the walls of dilapidated buildings identified during inspections. The red sign will serve as a clear indicator for remedial action and for the public to recognize schools needing urgent repairs.
The department expects that systematic monitoring will lead to quicker corrective measures, improve learning outcomes and restore confidence among parents in the public school system.
