Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched a series of development projects across Sikar, Churu and Jhunjhunu, emphasizing that adequate water supply could make farmers' soil as valuable as gold.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma officially commenced development initiatives in the districts of Sikar, Churu and Jhunjhunu on Thursday. The inauguration ceremony, attended by local officials and community leaders, marked the start of infrastructure upgrades, irrigation improvements and rural livelihood schemes aimed at boosting the agrarian economy.

During his address, Sharma highlighted the critical role of water availability in transforming agricultural productivity. He remarked that with sufficient water, farmers could metaphorically "grow gold" from the soil, underscoring the government's commitment to expand irrigation networks and ensure reliable water supply.

The projects include the construction of new road links, modernization of market yards, and the rollout of water conservation structures such as check dams and tube wells. State officials said the initiatives are expected to create jobs, reduce migration, and increase farm incomes in the three districts.

Sharma pledged continuous monitoring and swift implementation, urging district administrations to coordinate closely with farmers to address local needs. The inauguration signals the Rajasthan government's focus on rural development ahead of the upcoming state budget session.

The ceremony concluded with a symbolic planting of saplings, reflecting the administration's broader vision of sustainable growth and environmental stewardship in the region.
