The Rajasthan cabinet approved a resolution to honor Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot highlighting the consecration of the Ram temple and recent development initiatives in the state.
Jaipur, Oct 15 — In a meeting of the Rajasthan Council of Ministers, a motion to formally honour Prime Minister Narendra Modi was approved unanimously. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot introduced the resolution, noting the historic consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya as a testament to the Prime Minister's leadership.
Gehlot also pointed to a series of development projects undertaken in Rajasthan over the past year, describing them as evidence of the central government's focus on infrastructure, rural upliftment and economic growth. He said the state’s progress aligns with the broader national vision championed by the Prime Minister.
The cabinet’s decision will be communicated to the President of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs for formal recognition. Officials indicated that a commemorative ceremony may be organized later this year to mark the occasion.
Political analysts view the motion as a reaffirmation of the ruling party’s solidarity ahead of upcoming state and national elections, emphasizing the symbolic importance of linking regional achievements to the Prime Minister’s agenda.
No dissenting voices were recorded in the cabinet, and the resolution is expected to be tabled in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly during the next session.
