The 16th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly convened its sixth monsoon session at 11 a.m. on Thursday, opening with a tribute to seven former members who had died.

Lawmakers gathered to discuss the state’s agenda for the remainder of the monsoon period, with the agenda sheet listing bills on agriculture, water management and public welfare.
As per parliamentary tradition, the first sitting began with a moment of silence followed by a formal tribute to seven former legislators who had passed away in recent weeks. Their contributions were highlighted in a brief address by the Speaker, and floral wreaths were laid at the dais.
The session also witnessed a protest by Congress legislators inside the assembly precinct, who claimed they were prevented from entering certain areas. While the demonstration added a tense note, the proceedings continued as scheduled, focusing on the legislative business ahead.
