The Anti‑Corruption Bureau of Rajasthan nabbed a mandi employee in Udaipur after a sting operation revealed a Rs 24,000 payoff linked to wheat‑laden tractor inspections.
The Anti‑Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan has arrested Manoharlal, a staff member of the Agricultural Produce Market (Mandi) Savina in Udaipur, after a targeted operation uncovered a payment of Rs 24,000.
Investigators allege that the employee demanded the sum in exchange for granting relief on the checking of tractors loaded with wheat, as well as on related invoices and penalty charges.
The seizure underscores the state’s intensified drive to eliminate corrupt practices within agricultural market institutions. The ACB said the case is under further investigation and no additional arrests have been made at this stage.
