Rajasthan ACB Arrests Additional SP Mukesh Soni in Rs 2 Crore Bribery Case

The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested Additional SP Mukesh Kumar Soni from his residence in Balotra for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 2 crore in a Udaipur land allotment case. His alleged broker, Sajjan Singh Jain, was caught red-handed with the cash.
The ACB acted on a tip-off and conducted a raid at Soni's house in Balotra, detaining him for questioning. The operation was part of an investigation into alleged illegal gratification sought for facilitating the allotment of 272 land parcels in Udaipur.
During the raid, ACB officials also apprehended Sajjan Singh Jain, who was found in possession of the bribe amount of Rs 2 crore in cash. Both individuals were taken into custody for further interrogation.
The case is being probed under the Prevention of Corruption Act, with authorities examining the role of the accused in the land allotment process. Further legal proceedings will follow as the investigation progresses.
