A weakening Murasu cyclone will bring showers to five eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, while clear skies are forecast for Dhanteras and Diwali.
The state weather department said that the remnants of the Murasu cyclone are losing intensity, limiting precipitation to five districts in eastern Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. These showers are expected to be brief and localized, affecting only the specified districts.
Meteorologists also warned that night-time temperatures could dip by up to two degrees Celsius over the next four days, a modest fall that may be felt by residents in the affected areas. The cooler trend is projected to continue, with a more pronounced chill setting in from the second week of November.
Despite the mid‑week rain, the forecast for the upcoming festive period is largely positive. Clear skies are predicted for both Dhanteras and Diwali, allowing households to celebrate without weather‑related disruptions.
