Rain and Thunderstorms Expected Across Arunachal Pradesh from Sept 15, IMD Says

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a weather advisory on September 14 stating that the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh will come under a rain‑and‑thunderstorm spell starting September 15. The system is linked to the advancing southwest monsoon and is projected to bring moderate to heavy rainfall across most districts, with isolated thunderstorms especially in the hilly and valley regions.

IMD forecasts that the precipitation will persist for several days, with the heaviest showers expected during the early morning and late evening periods. The department has classified the event as a moderate weather warning, urging residents to stay updated with local forecasts.

Authorities in the state have been instructed to monitor the situation closely, ensure that drainage systems are clear, and be prepared for any emergency response required. Residents are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in vulnerable areas, secure loose objects, and follow safety guidelines issued by local officials.
