Members of the Raijor Dal staged a protest at the Chief Minister’s residence in Dispur, pressing the government for faster flood relief measures.
Raijor Dal activists gathered outside the official residence of the Chief Minister of Assam in Dispur on Thursday, holding placards and chanting slogans demanding immediate flood relief for affected districts. The demonstration was organized in response to growing concerns that the state’s relief efforts have not kept pace with the severity of the recent floods.
Party representatives said the protest aims to highlight the plight of families still stranded without adequate food, shelter and medical aid. They urged the state government to accelerate distribution of relief kits, restore damaged infrastructure and provide clearer communication to flood‑hit communities.
Local police monitored the rally to ensure it remained peaceful, and officials from the Chief Minister’s office were not immediately available for comment on the demands raised by the party.
