In Raichur, Karnataka, a shortage of classrooms has compelled schools to conduct lessons in open spaces, with students attending classes under the sky.

Several government schools in Raichur district are grappling with a severe shortage of classroom space, leaving many students without a proper indoor environment for lessons.

To keep the academic calendar on track, school authorities have resorted to holding classes in courtyards, under trees and on other open areas within the school premises.

District education officials have acknowledged the problem, stating that temporary arrangements are being made while plans for additional permanent classrooms are under review.

Teachers report that the outdoor setting poses challenges such as weather disruptions and noise, but they are striving to maintain instructional quality despite the constraints.
