PWD Engineer’s ₹11 crore Assets Uncovered in Balaghat Raid

Enforcement officials raided the residences of Balaghat PWD engineer Kamal Kishor Singare, uncovering assets worth roughly ₹11 crore, while investigations into additional properties and bank accounts continue.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) teams conducted coordinated raids on three locations linked to Kamal Kishor Singare, a senior engineer with the Madhya Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) in Balaghat. The operation, carried out under the suspicion of money‑laundering, revealed immovable assets, including a 350‑gram gold hoard, a farm house and a commercial complex, collectively valued at about ₹11 crore.
Investigators said the scale of the assets appears disproportionate to Singare’s declared income. The seized properties comprise a residential plot, a farm house on the outskirts of the district, and a shopping complex situated in a prime commercial zone. The gold, weighing 350 grams, was also recovered from one of the premises.
The ED has opened further inquiries into additional bank accounts and properties that the engineer is alleged to own. Authorities have not disclosed whether any arrests have been made, but they indicated that legal proceedings will follow based on the evidence gathered.
Balaghat district officials have expressed concern over the allegations, noting that the case underscores the need for stricter financial disclosures among public servants. The investigation remains ongoing, and further details will be released as the probe progresses.
