Punjab's rice mills are now grappling with a storage crisis as old stock and fresh paddy pile up, leaving little room for new produce.
Punjab, one of India's leading rice-producing states, hosts a large number of rice mills that process the state's harvest.
These mills are currently facing a new problem: old stock is piling up while fresh paddy awaits processing, and the available storage space is insufficient to accommodate both.
The shortage of space is causing operational bottlenecks, as mills struggle to store and manage the combined volume of old inventory and incoming produce.
The situation highlights the need for better storage solutions to ensure smooth processing and timely delivery of rice to markets.
