Power Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saund announced that from September 13 onward Punjab will not impose any load‑shedding as every power plant in the state is now operational.

Punjab's electricity department reported that all its power generation units are currently running at full capacity, eliminating the need for scheduled load‑shedding. Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saund made the statement during a press briefing, emphasizing that the state will provide uninterrupted power supply across residential, commercial and industrial sectors after September 13.

The announcement comes amid a broader power crisis affecting several northern states, but officials said Punjab's recent maintenance drives and fuel allocations have restored plant availability. The minister urged consumers to conserve electricity during peak hours to sustain the supply.

State officials will continue to monitor grid stability and have assured that any unforeseen technical issues will be addressed promptly, reinforcing the government's commitment to reliable electricity for the populace.
