Punjab police conducted a raid on suspected drug‑smuggling hideouts in Faridkot district, part of a broader anti‑narcotics drive.
Punjab police carried out a coordinated raid on several locations in Faridkot district that were identified as possible hideouts of drug smugglers. The operation was launched after intelligence inputs pointed to these sites as active nodes in the regional narcotics network.
The police team entered the premises without incident and secured the areas for further investigation. No arrests or seizures were reported at the time of reporting, and the authorities emphasized that the raid aims to disrupt the supply chain and gather evidence for future prosecutions.
Officials said the action reflects the state's intensified effort to curb the growing menace of illicit drug trafficking in Punjab. The police will continue to monitor the situation and follow up with additional checks as part of the ongoing anti‑narcotics campaign.
