Protestors gathered near the Governor's House, chanting slogans and holding placards demanding the case be withdrawn.
Police units stationed at the Governor's House barred the demonstrators from entering the premises, citing security protocols. When the protesters attempted to force their way in, a scuffle broke out, resulting in a brief clash between the activists and law‑enforcement officers.
Several participants were reportedly detained, and a few minor injuries were reported on both sides. The police later released a statement saying they acted to maintain public order and protect the official residence.
Party representatives, speaking to local media, reiterated their opposition to the case and accused the authorities of targeting opposition leaders. They called for a peaceful resolution and urged the administration to respect democratic dissent.
