Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann criticised the Shiromani Akali Dal, alleging the party is seeking a tie‑up with the BJP.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched a sharp attack on the Shiromani Akali Dal, stating that the party is "begging" for a partnership with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Mann made the remarks in a public statement, warning that the Akali Dal's overtures to the BJP reflect political desperation rather than a genuine ideological alignment.
The comments come as speculation grows about possible post‑election alliances ahead of the next Punjab assembly polls, though no formal discussions have been reported.
